Polovetsian Dances

While driving home tonight, I heard a piece that I remember performing in very vividly. I performed for many years with the Murray Symphony and Chorus in the percussion section. The piece that I heard was the Polovetsian Dances from the opera "Prince Igor" by Alexander Borodin. Lots of percussion...lots of timing issues and I remember the conductor cursing us sometimes because we would miss a beat and throw everyone off. Love the piece...hated performing it!

I had my doctor's appointment today. Blood draws on Thursday...start progesterone as soon as Thursday...follow up appointment on the 15th. I'm a bit nervous about this BUT I'm ready to find out what's going on with my body and get it fixed!

Lately, I have been in a classical/opera mood and I've been loving it! Maybe it's because I'm needing the calmness a bit more these days. :D

I'm off to bed...another long day tomorrow! Ciao!
